    I n t r o d u c t i o n Introduction With the Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset BH-103, you can make and answer calls with your compatible mobile phone and listen to music from a compatible music device.

    I n t r o d u c t i o n ■ Bluetooth wireless technology Bluetooth wireless technology allows you to connect compatible devices without <10m cables. The headset and the other device do not need to be in line of sight, but the maximum distance between the devices should be 10 metres (33 feet).

    G e t s t a r t e d Get started ■ Keys and parts The headset contains the following parts: 1. Earphones 2. Strap lock 3. Microphone 4. Multifunction key 5. Charger connector 6. Indicator light 7. Volume key Before using the headset, you must charge the battery and pair the headset with a compatible device.

    This device is intended for use when supplied with power from the following chargers: AC-3 and DC-4. Warning: Use only chargers approved by Nokia for use with this particular enhancement. The use of any other types may invalidate any approval or warranty, and may be dangerous.
  • Page 10 G e t s t a r t e d 2. Connect the charger cable to the charger connector. The red indicator light is displayed during charging. Charging the battery fully may take up to 1 hour 40 minutes. 3. When the battery is fully charged, the green indicator light is displayed.

    G e t s t a r t e d ■ Switch on or off To switch on, press and hold the multifunction key for about 2 seconds. The headset beeps, and the green indicator light is displayed. The headset tries to connect to the last used phone and music device, if any.

    B a s i c u s e Basic use ■ Wear the headset The headset may be provided with different sized earplugs. To change the earplug, pull the current earplug from the earpiece, and push the new earplug over the earpiece in the same position.

    B a s i c u s e ■ Calls To make a call, use your phone in the normal way when the headset is connected to it. To redial the number you last called (if your phone supports this feature with the headset), when no call is in progress, press the multifunction key twice.

    B a s i c u s e ■ Listen to music To listen to music, pair and connect the headset to a device that supports the A2DP Bluetooth profile (see “Pair the headset,” p. 11). To play music, use the playback controls on the connected device.

    The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually wear out. Recharge your battery only with Nokia approved chargers designated for this device. Use of an unapproved charger may present a risk of fire, explosion, leakage, or other hazard.
