NOTE: As with all personal display devices, NEC DISPLAY SOLUTIONS recommends using a moving screen saver at regular intervals whenever the screen is idle, or turn off the monitor when not in use. -

CORRECT PLACEMENT AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE MONITOR CAN REDUCE EYE, SHOULDER, AND NECK FATIGUE. CHECK THE FOLLOWING WHEN YOU POSITION THE MONITOR: Ergonomics To realize the maximum ergonomics benefits, we recommend the following: • For optimum performance of the monitor, allow 20 minutes for warming up. Avoid reproduction of still patterns on the monitor for long periods of time to avoid image persistence (after image effects). -

Quick Start For box contents, please refer to the printed contents sheet provided in the box. To attach the base to the LCD monitor stand: 1. Place the monitor face down on a non-abrasive surface (Figure 1). 2. Please rotate the stand 90 degrees as shown in Figure 1. CAUTION: Handle with care when pulling the stand. - Page 9 3. Place your hands on each side of the monitor to tilt the LCD panel to the maximum tilt angle and lift up to the highest position. 4. Connect all cables to the appropriate connectors (Figure C.1). When using the USB cable, connect the B type connector to the USB upstream port on the rear side of the monitor and the A type connector to the downstream port on the computer (Figure C.1a).

ControlSync ControlSync simultaneously controls all sub-monitors connected to a master monitor. It can also individually control a single sub- monitor using the INDIVIDUAL ADJUST function (see page 21). Controls OSD (On-Screen Display) control keys on the front of the monitor function as follows: 1 Ambient Light Sensor Detects the level of ambient lighting and the presence of a user, allowing the monitor to Human Sensor make adjustments to various settings resulting in a more comfortable viewing experience. Do not cover this sensor. - Page 16 ECO TOOLS BRIGHTNESS Adjusts the overall image and background screen brightness. If ECO MODE is set to 1 or 2, a bar for CARBON FOOTPRINT will appear. CONTRAST Adjusts the overall image and background screen brightness by input signal level. NOTE: CONTRAST and DV MODE can be adjusted for all COLOR CONTROLS except L/B.
- Page 17 HUMAN SENSING The sensor detects the movement of a person by using the HUMAN SENSING function. The HUMAN SENSING function has three settings: OFF: Does not function. 1 (LIGHT): After it detects that there is no person after a period of time, the monitor shifts to low brightness mode automatically to reduce the power consumption.
- Page 18 OVER SCAN (HDMI input only) Some video formats may require different scanning modes in order to best display the image. ON: Image size is larger than what can be displayed. The image edge will appear cropped. Approximately 95% of the image will be shown on the screen.
- Page 19 Tools VOLUME Controls the volume of the speakers or headphones. To mute the speaker output touch the “ /RESET” key. SOUND INPUT Selects audio source. When MULTI PICTURE is OFF: Outputs the audio signal of current picture. When MULTI PICTURE is LEFT or RIGHT: LEFT: Outputs the audio that is associated with the left video signal.

- Page 21 USB SELECTION Change the USB upstream input (USB or USB-C) associated with the current display input. When connecting a computer to each of the upstream ports, the monitor's USB downstream ports can be used by selecting this setting for the current input signal. You can change the active display and upstream USB port combination by using the INPUT key (see page 13).
- Page 22 HOT KEY When this function is ON, BRIGHTNESS, VOLUME, USB SELECTION and MULTI PICTURE settings can be changed without opening the OSD menu. BRIGHTNESS: Touch the UP key, then adjust the brightness level in the sub-menu that opens. VOLUME: Touch the DOWN key, then adjust the volume level in the sub-menu that opens. USB SELECTION: Touch the RIGHT key to open the USB SELECTION sub-menu.
- Page 23 TARGET MONITOR NO. Controls a sub-monitor’s OSD by using the master monitor’s control keys. Sets the sub-monitor number that is set at MONITOR NO. By touching the INPUT (SELECT) key, each sub-monitor displays its monitor number. INDIVIDUAL ADJUST ON: Controls an individual sub-monitor from the master monitor. Once ON is set, operation at the master monitor reflects to the sub-monitor OSD.

Using the Auto Brightness function The brightness of the LCD screen can be set to increase or decrease depending on the amount of ambient lighting within the room. If the room is bright, the monitor becomes correspondingly bright. If the room is dim, then the monitor will dim accordingly. The purpose of this function is to make the viewing experience more comfortable to the eye in a variety of lighting conditions. -
